Chemical Grout Injection
When it is not feasible to excavate the outside walls of a structure in order to apply a waterproofing membrane due to access, finished landscaping,or budget restrictions, chemical grout injection may be the answer.Chemical grouting is performed by first drilling a series of holes located adjacent to the leaking cracks, then installing grout ports and pumping a chemical grout that reacts with the water present in the crack or substrate, which creates a chemical reaction. This reaction causes the liquid grout to expand and form a gel material that fills voids and cracks, thus creating an impervious seal against the substrate sides, which stops water access through the joint. Beijing Langwei has successfully performed chemical grout injection at interior foundation walls, floor slabs, elevator pits, sewer pipes and parking structures.
Epoxy Injection: Epoxy injection is used to make structural repairs to non-moving cracks in concrete, masonry and metal substrates. When done correctly epoxy injection seals the cracks and restores the monolithic structural nature of a substrate.high strength epoxies can return a substrate to its original design strength but will not increase load-bearing capability.Epoxy injection is considered a restoration system as well as a waterproofing system. It can restore substrates to a sound condition prior to waterproofing application. Beijing Langwei has performed epoxy injection on poured concrete walls, footings and decorative facade elements on numerous projects throughout the tri-state area.
